“S.C.A. Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, the success of a commitment to quality and sustainable growth." ”
Created in 1947, S.C.A. Nuestra Señora de los Remedios de Iznalloz (Granada) now has 700 members and 7000 ha of mountainside olive groves that produce high-quality oil for every segment on the market. The quality and effectiveness of its human resources, its fully equipped, modern facilities and extreme environmental awareness are just some of the signs of identity of the Iznalloz cooperative. Its aim is to consolidate the growth of the last ten years by attracting new members and developing new marketing channels for their products.
Our cooperative's olive groves, which cover approximately 7000 ha, are typical mountainside groves set in the municipal district of Iznalloz and the neighbouring villages.
The main variety is known as Picual or Marteño, although there are also local varieties, such as the Negrillo de Iznalloz, the Loaime, the Escarabajillo and the Lucio, among others.
Most of the olive groves grow in unirrigated land, but around 20% are fitted with drip irrigation systems.
